You headed this last day's blog with exactly my words -- "What a trip!" You've sampled every species of our transportation system with the possible exception of dog sleds!
Nice that all your visits to casinos ended up with some winnings. A lot better than poor Joan's hospital ending.
I have enjoyed your blogs so much. Any chance that you might continue them after you get home? If not, would you mind if I send you an email now and then? I feel as though I've made a new friend.

Hi Arline, I am so pleased you have been enjoying my blog. It has been fun writing it, although I am sure there was much more I should have included, so I also keep a journal. I will try and send you a few more pictures when we get back home, over Christmas, and if I can get on line, would you like me to e-mail you from Portugal? I don't think we will be getting about so much to make a blog interesting. Josiexx

A great treat to have a picture of you both so I can have a mental image of you running around to all those memorable places.

Please, please Josie, magically whisk me to Sam's Town so I can see those animated figures. Then zip me over to the Conservatory at Bellagio. I can't imagine the animals made of flowers. Fascinating!

Thank you SO much for sharing this wonderful trip with me. You'll need a month to recover and get your feet back on good old English soil.

Yes sorry indteed that Mike had missed the marathon, but he said himself he is not in good enough shape at present, to give a good account of himself. The tribute show sounded really good, particularly the Elvis, and at least you didn't have far to go to your bed when the show ended! Yes isn't the Roxy diner great, all of the staff seemed to have really good voices, and I especially liked the black girl, who sung an Eartha Kitt song while we were there. It's nice especially reading your blogs about a place we have only just returned from. Love Joan and Mike xx

What a tremendous show! There's so much more to Las Vegas than just the gambling.
Too bad Mike Thompson couldn't have stayed a bit longer so he could have watched that enormous marathon race. He is so serious about his running.

Josie: How I envy you having all those contacts with people from all over the world. I love getting a glimpse of how other people live -- including you and Bill.

A gal after my own heart! I love browsing in second-hand bookstores. Did you buy any? If so, will you ship them back to England or carry them around with you?
You've used all kinds of transportation, but I'll bet you never dreamed of riding in a caboose!

Oooh, Josie: What bad timing for that migraine. I hate to think that you had to miss the experience of the Grand Canyon.
About Thanksgiving. Yes, it is a big holiday here, second only to Christmas. Mainly celebrated by family gatherings and big turkey dinners. Through the years, we've always had a full table of relatives, but this year no one could make it home and there were just three of us -- my daughter, her husband and me. However, we managed to make it a special day just the same.
